I am pleased that the Democratic plan to tax the profits of the oil companies did not make it throught the senate. What do they think the oil companies were going to do? they most likely didnt think about the oil companies putting that tax back onto the consumer. Congress needs to start really looking at taping into the alaskan oil reserve and alternatives like ethanol, solar, and my favorite flex-fuel, it works in Brazil it can work here. Also to the consumer, when it is possible ride a bike save $100 and get some exercise.
